Get legal advice and make sure that you understand the contracts you sign, particularly what will happen to your deposit if the sale falls through. You should always make sure that you know what you are letting yourself in for before you buy a new house. Get a thorough, professional inspection in order to uncover any hidden problems that could be costly to get fixed, and don't let yourself get carried away by emotion, and don't make any snap decisions. It is rarely a good idea to agree to buy a house on the day that you see it, or to buy the first place that you look at. Make sure you are making the right choice.
